Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (A-EMT)

Description

This is a National Registry of EMTs certification course that will build on the knowledge of an experienced EMT. The course consists of approximately 220 hours of classroom time, that includes hands-on practical sessions as well as lecture material. Practical skills that are taught include, Intravenous (IV) access, advance airway techniques, and medication administration. This is an intense course, that requires the student to be willing to study, complete assignments, and schedule field time outside of the scheduled class meetings.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age on the first day of class and must be physically able to perform the job functions of an AEMT. Must be able to pass a complete FBI background check and provide proof of immunizations. Current EMT certification is required.
