Uwchlan Ambulance Corps is pleased to announce our next Emergency Medical Technician Course, beginning in March of 2018! Join us to learn about something you can turn into your new career or hobby. EMT certification primes one for a lot of career opportunities, and will give you experiences that may further spark your interests in the medical or pre-hospital field.
The course covers the overall roles and responsibilities of the EMT, general anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, CPR, bleeding control, care of musculoskeletal injuries, medical emergencies, childbirth, pediatric emergencies, environmental emergencies, ambulance operations, and personal safety.
Our Spring 2018 course begins on Monday, March 12 at Uwchlan Ambulance Corps. Pre-registration is required by February 19, 2018 so that we may make the proper arrangements and order the right supplies. Class will be held every Monday and Wednesday (excluding holidays) from 6:30-9:30pm, and every other Saturday beginning March 24th, from 9am to 4pm. Students will know the NREMT standards and be eligible to take the NREMT exam after successful completion of our course.

Participants must be 16 years of age at the start of class to be eligible for state EMT testing, and 18 at the start of class for NREMT testing. The course cost is $950.
